OK! OK! enoughs enough already, god I live in a family of nags. "updates! updates! updates!". I know it's been a while but hey I'm a busy man. Anyway, a selection of photo's from Xmas is now here in the new look photo gallery, I now have to put all the old ones in there, terrific.
Anyway, whats the current status, well christmas came and went and a good time was had by all. I changed jobs, AGAIN, and Al stayed where she was. The kids; well Quibee is going through Uni application at the minute, she was sadly rejected by Kingston (their loss!) and now awaits an interview with Blackpool, but whatever happens she'll be ok, she's bright, intelligent, hard working and above all a good artist, so don't lose hope Quibee. Nicole is hurtling towards here final exams and is panicing slightly, but again, Nicole has the personality that'll get her where she wants to be, even if it is the hard way, she has her work experience coming up, which I think will clarify her outlook on life somewhat. Faye, well she is fine, she too coming to a change soon, end of primary and begining of Secondary school, at which time I've no doubt she will be too big to have Dad come and pick her up from school on a Friday, but she's fine.
A quick mention of an incident that happened ealier this year, most of you know about it, but it has had such an impact on me mentally that I feel compelled to mention it. Our accident, Al, Faye and I were involved in a 4 car smash on the A1 in January, it was a hell of a scare and by the grace of god, seat belts, airbags, dry conditions and awareness we all escaped serious injury. I am truly thankfull for that mercy and my road mentality has changed completely. For all of you out there, please remember to drive carefully, keep a sensible distance and never underestimate the conditions that may cause the driver in front to brake, swerve or come to an abrupt halt.
So I'm off, please don't pressure for updates as this just increases the apathy and increases delay.

IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT SOME PEOPLE, LESS FAMILIAR WITH ME, MY FAMILY AND OUR RELATIONSHIPS, MAY FEEL THAT THIS WEBSITE IS SOMEWHAT 'INSENSITIVE', PARTICULARLY TOWARDS JANETS’ FEELINGS.
I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT TO THESE ‘INDIVIDUALS’ THAT FOR A LONG TIME AFTER OUR SPLIT THIS SITE WAS IN FACT SHUT DOWN AS A MARK OF RESPECT TO JANET AND THE GIRLS. WHEN IT DID RE-OPEN IT CARRIED , FOR SOME TIME, A SINGULAR APOLOGY TO JANET AND THE GIRLS FOR THE HURT, HEARTACHE AND PROBLEMS I HAD CAUSED AND EMPHASISED MY DESIRE TO CONTINUE A LEVEL OF MORAL SUPPORT TO JANET AND FULL FATHERLY RESPONSIBILITY THE GIRLS. A PERIOD OF NEARLY 2 YEARS HAS NOW PASSED AND A LOT OF REPSECT AND REVERENCE HAS BEEN PAID BEFORE THIS SITE BECAME WHAT IT IS NOW.
HOWEVER, I MUST ALSO POINT OUT THIS IS THE GARY ALLENBY WEBSITE, AND AS SUCH I FEEL IT WILL REFLECT THE CURRENT STATUS OF MY LIFE, WHICH WHILE IT REMAINS WITH THE GIRLS, MUM, DAD, HELEN, RICHARD ETC., IT ALSO, MOST DEFINATLY, INCLUDES AL. I MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR THIS SITE REFLECTING MY LIFE AS IT IS, AND THAT ALL THOSE INVOLVED CLOSELY WITH ME UNDERSTAND THAT.

Here's a breakdown of my second visit to Prince's Earth Tour and aftershow VIP - stylee HERE
Well, what a 6 months it has been. Faye is now 10, I am 44 (I know, I know, I dont look it). We had the floods on the Hull side of the River. I got a new job, we of course saw Prince (twice), which has to be the highlight of the summer. Quibee and Nicole simply loved the experience of going to the O2 and seeing Dad's idol, they genuinely loved the live show, especially Nicole. The second show, was immense and I will never experience anything like the aftershow, ever again. Biggest acheivement of the summer goes to Quibee and her great exam results in Photography, Graphic Design and Textiles, something I'm sure she'll carry on when she goes to Uni (Eh Quibee?). Al and I are still as happy as the day we met, if not more, lived a lot of my life without even knowing that life could feel like this. Janet and I seem to be cool, and approaching a reasonable state of friendship, which I hope may long continue. Kai has been fighting, getting a cauliflower ear from the dog next door. All in all, a summer that was much better than the weather it brought.

Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone. We had a lovely Christmas and New Year, spent as much time as we could with the kids and family, and we had a fabulous time.
The biggest thing was Andy being home, those that don't know, Andy was struck down with Meningitis before Christmas. Luckily, with Helens vigilance and the care of the Intensive Care Unit at grimsby Hospital he made a surprisingly quick, but welcome, recovery and was in fact back home for christmas, all be it recuperating, but never the less we were all glad to have him home.
There are a couple of updates to note this month, one is the Photo update from Xmas and New Year which is HERE, some will notice the Post-It addition on the welcome screen, feel free to use it, there will be more little additions like this over time. The other addition is at Fayes request, which is Kids corner, were I will add links and items to her instruction, giving her a large amount of editorial control. Theres not much there at the minute but it will grow in time.

Hi everyone, well Al and I are back and refreshed after our short but sweet trip to the sun, been far too long since I had a holiday. So the next update will be photo's from our trip. Unfortunatly being away meant I missed Richards 40th birthday bash, sorry kid, but I know you understand, but I've been supplied with photo's and you will find them HERE. Last thing is good luck to Quibee who has a couple of results of job interviews waiting, fingers crossed.
Well, here we are again, I don't know, I go months without an update and here within a space of a few weeks I have no fewer than 3 of the little blighters, my latest, as promised are the snaps from the holiday Al and I just had. OK, for all those of you who have been whingeing about an update it's finally here, Camerons Birthday, although when you see the photo's you may wish you hadn't pestered me (Helen!). But we all get a look in, including the much anticipated Matty and Quibee shots,Yep, these are the biggest thing since Anthony and Cleopatra. Hopefully I will get to put some more on soon, especially as I've got my week off coming up, and hopefully the next update will include Al in some form. ya never know. Anyway, enough for now, enjoy the update and keep leaving those comments.

I know, I know, it's time I updated the site, when I get round to it!. Fayes asking for a kids corner, Helen's just asking for an update so I'll put my mind to it shortly.
Not gonna go on on about the girls and what they're are up to as everything is cool. I am good, Al and I are very settled now. So I'll go off and think about what updates I can do, call back soon.

Well the update & News is obvious, the site is back up and running. There are various explanations as to why it has been away for so long, so nuff said. As for the family, life goes on, the girls are all as fantastic as ever, Nicole continue’s to turn into a young woman as she embroils herself in the precociousness of adolescence, Faye has a the most insightfully inquisitive mind for a 9 year old I have ever known, and Quibee, well Quibee is her own person now. Approaching 18 and a young woman, strong willed and immersed in her ‘18 year old’ world, in love and is fancy free 9 (almost), it’s a great time of life Kibz, enjoy it – just not too much!!.
As for me, I’m finding my feet, it’s not easy trying to balance everything at the minute and I have my ups and downs, I temporarily find myself in Yorkshire!, I say temporarily because I still haven’t decided where my roots are now going to be but for now the situation suits so I will persevere for now. That’s it for now, I will return when I have more news, until then – Up the Mariners!!
